Scientific foundation

Leadership – Developmental/Transformational Leadership

Our leadership index is based on transformational leadership according to Bernard M. Bass and Bruce J. Avolio and their model ”Full Range Leadership Model.”

Our leadership index is also supported by ”The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® Model developed by James Kouzes and Barry Posner, Leadership Challenge.”

Team – Performance Environment

We have drawn inspiration and the foundation from Gallup’s engagement survey and their studies on engagement. Studies show a strong connection between high engagement and a range of key metrics.

BPI team index has also been inspired by Susan A. Wheelan’s research on effective teams.

A series of studies regarding high-performing teams in sports support our factors, including ”Managing Teams,” ”Comparing Organizational and Sport Psychological Approaches to Teamwork,” Scandinavian Sport Studies Forum.
